Huntsville Alabama - Chapter 136 Chapter Information
|

Welcome to ASWA Huntsville!
The Huntsville chapter of ASWA was chartered on December 4, 1982, with
35 members.
Our membership is comprised of women who work in every area of
accounting -- education, government, private industry, and public, as well
as students.
CHAPTER MEETINGS usually are held on the second Tuesday evening of
each month in the Sun Room at the Holiday Inn Downtown (formerly Hilton
Huntsville).
A guest speaker is featured at each meeting, and programs of technical and
educational value are offered, along with a wide range of other topics of
interest to professional women.
Reservations are required for dinner; however, you may attend the program
without a reservation.
In addition, an informal networking luncheon is scheduled monthly on the
fourth Thursday at various locations.
MEMBERSHIP is available in five categories: Regular, Affiliate, Associate
Junior, Associate Student, and Retired. Any person involved in accounting
or a related field is eligible for membership.
CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION is provided at many of the
chapter meetings, and also by sponsoring at least one educational seminar
annually for chapter members as well as others in the accounting
profession. Additional CPE credit is available at regional and national
ASWA conferences.
A SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM has been established to assist students who
are regularly enrolled in accounting or a related field at accredited
schools. Applications are available in the Spring. Tutoring for accounting
students may also be provided as needed.
