Huntsville Alabama - Chapter 136 Student Activities Also check the Useful Links button to the left, for student related information
In the Spring of 2001, the Huntsville Chapter of ASWA instituted a High School Accounting Competition for students in the City of Huntsville, City of Madison, and Madison County who had completed the first year of Accounting with a B average or higher. A comprehensive test on basic accounting principles and procedures was prepared for use in the competition.
This has become an annual event, and is now being offered twice each year -- early in December and again in the Spring -- to accommodate the schools who teach Accounting for only one semester.
Beason & Nalley, Inc. has graciously offered ASWA the use of their conference room for the testing.
The winners and their teachers are honored at the Chapter’s annual Student Night in April.
